What Is the Church, and Why Does It Matter?
The word "church" often brings a building to mind, but its meaning in Scripture is really a community: people who trust in Jesus Christ, gathered together. In Acts, the earliest believers are described as devoting themselves "to the apostles' teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer."
Belonging to a community means not carrying faith alone. People who pray together in hard seasons and celebrate together in joyful ones also model for each other what faith looks like in everyday life.
If you're not yet part of a community, don't hesitate to take that step. As Büyük Lütuf, we're glad to offer resources and support for that part of your journey.
